
Well-known Telugu producer Kotipalli Raghava died after suffering a massive heart attack in the wee hours of today. He breathed his last at his home in Jubilee Hills. He was 105.
Kotipalli had produced over 30 movies in the 70s and 80s under his banner Pratap Art Productions. He received Nandi awards for the films Thatha Manavadu (1972) and Samsaram Sagaram (1973). Born in Kotipalli village of East Godavari district, Raghava worked as a trolley puller at movie shooting locations in Kolkata and later he turned a producer by entering the Telugu film industry in 1931.
Famous celebrities like Dasari Narayana Rao, Rao Gopal Rao, SP Balasubramanian, Bhanu Chander and Suman who garnered fame in Tollywood were introduced by him. Kotipalli Raghava also bagged several awards like Akkineni Lifetime achievement award and Raghupati Venkaiah award.

It is learnt that the last rites of the producer will be performed today at Jubilee Hills crematorium.
