Kadapa: YSR Congress Party supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who turned up early for casting his vote on Thursday expressed confidence that his party will come to power in Andhra Pradesh. He cast his vote at a polling booth in Pulivendula, his assembly constituency in Kadapa district of the state.

"I am very confident, people are looking for a change, vote without fear," YS Jagan told reporters.

"I am very confident. It will go well. I am pretty sure people are looking for a change. I hope it would happen," he said.

He said that he is confident that his party will secure 'majority on its own' in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly election and emerge as the leading party in the Lok Sabha polls.

Andhra Pradesh is going for simultaneous election for its 25 Parliamentary seats and 175 Assembly constituencies in the first phase of the polls on Thursday. The seven-phase elections will come to a close on May 19 and counting will be done on May 23.
