Dog nibbles away infant's ear in Begumpet

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a dog chipped off the ears of a month-old baby and caused head injuries. The bizarre incident occured in Begumpet area of Hyderabad.

According to sources, baby's mother Manjula, a resident of Shamlal Building, made her baby sleep and went into to do daily chores. However, a dog managed to enter into the house and bit the ears of the kid. Up to 90 per cent of the earlobe was eaten. While it was trying to bite into the neck, the mother came and drove away the dog.
Kid was immediately rushed to Pace Hospital and vaccinated with anti-rabies drug. Doctors attending the girl said, "there are chances of rabies attack has the dog bit the girl on on her head. We are keeping a close watch on the baby for at least 48 hours."
