Women Asks For Lift, And Gets Molested In Anantapur

Anantapur: A women belonging to Tabjula village in Anantapur was sexually harassed while she was returning home after Krishnashtami celebrations at a temple in Singanaguttapalli.  While returning home after the completion of rituals, she requested a man on the bike for a lift. The man, who was Identified as Sri Ranga, instead of dropping her to the place requested, took her to an unknown location and made an attempt to sexually assault her.

She somehow escaped from the situation, reached back home and spoke about the ordeal she faced to her family and relatives. On Saturday, while she was going to file a complaint about the harassment in Peddapappuru police station, she was threatened and stopped by Sri Ranga. On Sunday night, she made an attempt and succeeded to complain and filed a case against Sri Ranga to SI Mohammed Ghouse. Investigations are underway
