Chandigarh Girl Attacks Man In Road Rage Incident

Sheetal Sharma (25) allegedly hit 26 year-old Nitish repeatedly with an iron rod following a road rage incident near Tribune Chowk in Chandigarh on Tuesday evening. Nitish was injured in the incident and the altercation led a traffic jam. The victim was driving a Santro along a slip road when the girl reportedly driving in reverse in a rash manner, banged into his car. Blocking his way with her car, Sheetal pulled out an iron rod from her car and started attacking Nitish. Bystanders shot a video of the incident which went viral on social media networks.

Police rushed to the spot and seized both the vehicles. They later recorded the statement of the victim and registered a case against Sheetal Sharma under Sections 308, 323, 341 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The girl was arrested and sent for medical examination.
