Doubting Fidelity, Husband Murders Wife With A Pestle

Nizamabad: An alcoholic from Nizamabad, murdered his wife with a pestle he found from the house, doubting her fidelity. The incident took place at Yellareddipalli village in Nizamabad district under the Indalwai police station limits.

The victim identified as Kunta Vijaya separated herself from her husband, the accused Ganga Babu a few years back. Ganga had worked in the Gulf for a brief while and came back an alcoholic. They have been in quarrels ever since he had come back to India. The alcohol almost every time led him to physically assault her as he mentally questioned her chastity towards him. Unable to bear the torture, Vijaya packed her bags and moved back to her parents’ house where she had been living for a couple of years now.

Ganga Babu, In an Inebriated state, went to his wife on Saturday. In a fit of rage, he looked for whatever he could find, laid his hands on a pestle from the kitchen and clubbed her to death. He fled the spot right after. Clues team is still collecting clues from the spot of the murder and a manhunt for Ganga had been launched, said police who registered the case
