Woman Poisons Kids, Attempts Suicide In Miyapur

Hyderabad: A woman attempted suicide after administering poison to her two children in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The victims were identified by the police as Suma, her kids - Harshita and Harsha.

As per the details provided by her family, Suma got married to Suresh, an employee in a pharma company at Bachupally, two years ago and the family had been residing at Lakshmi Nagar in Miyapur.

Suresh found his wife and kids lying unconscious on Wednesday when he returned home. He immediately rushed them to a hospital. While Suresh's daughter Harshita succumbed to death, Suma and Harsha's condition is learned to be critical and are undergoing treatment.

Suresh and Suma hail from Tumakuru district of Karnataka. The neighbours in the locality suspect that family disputes might have led the woman to take such an extreme step. A case has been registered and the police are investigating further.
