Langer House Murder Mystery Solved, Man Arrested

Meerpet: The mystery surrounding the Langer House double murders, which created sensation throughout the city has been resolved. The West Zone Task Force police, investigating the case solved it within 24 hours. The Police found out that the two women, known to be sisters were killed by the same person and suspect that they were unable to prevent the killing due to their intoxicated state.

While the accused has been taken into custody by the Task Force, the police are further investigating whether there is any other person's involvement in the murders.

The couples Raju-Yadamma and Lakshman-Sumitra had moved to the city from Debbadaguda village in Kandukur mandal of Ranga Reddy district, 15 years ago.

They resided at Lenin Nagar near Balapur in Meerpet. While Yadamma and Sumitra worked in nearby houses, Raju and Laxman worked as laborers. They have four children. Sumitra's husband Laxman died five years ago due to alcohol addiction. After marrying of her children, Sumitra along with her sister Yadamma, got addicted to alcohol. The colony they resided in repeatedly warned against their objectionable behaviour. Following this, they rented adjacent rooms in Ayodhya Nagar, six months ago. On Monday evening, Yadamma and Sumitra went to Dhatu Nagar in Kanchan Bagh limits to get intoxicated where they met a man.

Together, the three of them got heavily intoxicated and reached the Musi under the Attapur Bridge in Rajendra Nagar. They finally landed in the deserted area of PVV Narsimhama Rao Expressway Bridge Pillar

No.118. The sisters, under the influence overpowered the man who then lost control and hit both of them one after the other with a granite rock. He later, strangled them with their sarees till they breathed their last and threw the bodies in the Musi river.

Langer House police registered a case and the West Zone Task Force officials set up special teams to catch the accused.

After reviewing the CCTV footage, the police detained the man on Wednesday night and are investigating further.
