MP Trickster Marries, Dupes Hyderabad Woman

Gachibowli: A man from Madhya Pradesh duped a woman of Rs 60 lakhs, after marrying her. The accused married a techie by saying that he was a secret agent with the Indian Army. According to the Circle Inspector of Police R Sreenivas, the accused Akhilesh Gujar alias Tejas alias Teja Patel alias Tanmay(36), married the software engineer Puja from Hyderabad, who is working as a software engineer in the Hi-Tech city. Both of them got married in Kukatpally Arya Samaj temple in the month of May 2018.

The couple met through Bharat matrimony, a matchmaking website. The accused even uploaded a picture of himself in the army uniform to his profile. He took loans of Rs. 15,00,000 from Citi Bank Rs 12,00,000 from Bajaj Finance, Rs 2,00,000 from Indian Bull, Rs 4,91,000 on Amex credit card, Rs 2,71,000 on SBI credit card, SBI savings account Rs 5,61,000, Rs 10,00,000 from HDFC mutual funds totaling to Rs 60,00,000. All this happened without the knowledge of Puja. The accused took her jewellery and went missing.

The victim, Puja was impregnated by accused twice. Once he gave her pills for aborting the baby, without her knowledge. Later, he forced her to abort the child.

After receiving the complaint police inquired about the accused and came to know that he was already married and is the father of a seven year-old. He had already duped four women after marriage. He targets a woman from matrimonial sites, gets into a physical relationship with her and dupes her for money.

The CI added that the accused has till now cheated 15 women impersonating a secret agent in the army. The accused was arrested on Monday and sent to custody.
