Vijayawada Student Committs Suicide After Girl Rejects Love

Vijayawada: A man attempted to commit suicide over love failure. The incident took place on Wednesday at Krishnalanka, Vijayawada. With the help of police, he was rescued and sent to the hospital.

Sai Reddy (21) hails from Mehboobabad who was pursuing his CA at CMS academy, Labbipet. Meanwhile, he fell in love with a girl in the same college. When he proposed, she rejected his proposal. On Wednesday a depressed Sai took a knife and went to an empty classroom and closed the doors with an intention to kill himself.

The college staff informed the police who rushed to the spot and tried to convince him against taking the extreme step. SI Chinababu counseled him for an hour but in vain. In a fit of anger, he is believed to have cut his neck twice. Immediately, the police caught him and took the knife away from him. Due to heavy bleeding, he was shifted to the hospital in the police vehicle. Since the hospital staff was not responding, he was later shifted to Andhra hospital in the same vehicle.
