3 Youths Killed In Ghastly TN Accident

Salem: Three youths died and six others were injured in a road accident which occurred at Kanchipuram district. The deceased belong to Merchant street of Mannadi locality of Chennai. On the occasion of Diwali vacation they set out on a on a trip in an Innova car.

A group of friends, Sajavik(25),Riyaz(20), Faisal(24), Yakoop(25), Asif(21),Imtiaz(23), Mohammad Yaseef, Insad Irfan (25), Insa (25) were on their way to Vellore with Faisal at the wheel.

They were traveling on the Chennai- Bengaluru highway, near Chinnayan Satram, when a lorry came from behind and hit the car in the rear. The car spun out of control and went into the other lane, in the opposite direction. At the same time another lorry going towards Chennai from Vellore hit them head on. The car got completely smashed, while Sajavik, Riyaz and driver Faisal died instantaneously. Yakoob, Asif, Imtiyaz, Yasif, Insad, Insa were hospitalised with severe injuries.

DSP Balasubramaniyan, Taluka CI Vetriselvan along with other policemen, a fire squad, and ambulance reached the spot. The dead bodies were taken to the Kanchi Government hospital for autopsy. The survivors informed the family members about the accident.
