Visakhapatnam: A man killed his wife suspecting her fidelity. According to the police and the locals, the accused Mohan Rao lives with his wife Nagamani and their children Durga Rao (13) and Hansika (11). The couple got married in 2004 after falling in love. Mohan Rao works in a transport company. Due to financial problems, his wife Nagamani started working in Foodex shop for three years.

Meanwhile, the couple developed differences between them over the past four months. At the same time, Mohan Rao's mobile went missing and was later found with Nagamani. He suspected that she was having an extra-marital affair and also found out that Nagamani had replaced the SIM on his mobile phone with another SIM. Village elders convinced them and sent them to their house.

But recently, they again had an argument and on October 25th, Mohan Rao threatened Nagamani that he would kill her. Nagamani was scared and went to her parents' house. Mohan Rao went to Foodex on Saturday and waited till his wife came from the shop and asked her to come with him. Around 11:30 PM at Navrang theatre, he stabbed her 8 times with a knife and killed her. Later, he went absconding.

Women who were Nagamani's co-workers started screaming when they saw him stabbing. The locals rushed to the spot but already the victim succumbed to her injuries. The locals and neighbors of Nagamani alleged that Mohan Rao's mother incited him to carry out this crime. The police were informed and reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. The accused was taken into custody and is being interrogated by police officials.
