Nampalli (Nalgonda): An alcoholic, who used to harass his wife constantly, killed her brutally suspecting her involvement in an extra-marital affair. The incident took place on Tuesday night at Sivanna Gudem village, Marri Gudem.

According to the police, the deceased Bhootam Narsamma (42) and the accused Yadaiah have been married for long. Yadaiah runs a tire puncture shop. The couple had two children. Yadaiah is an alcoholic and always used to harass his wife. He has been suspecting his wife of being involved in an extra-marital affair for some time.

On Tuesday night, the couple had an argument and around 11:30, he slit Narsamma's neck killing her instantly. He also threatened to kill his children when they started screaming. Immediately, Yadaiah escaped from the place and the locals rushed to the spot. They later informed police who collected the details from the place of incident. The body was shifted to Devderakonda government hospital for postmortem. Based on a complaint given by the victim's parents, the police filed a case against the accused.

The relatives of the Narsamma reached the house of Yadaiah to protest. They demanded justice and sought punishment for the accused.
