Chittoor B. Tech Student Commits Suicide
Chittoor: Priyanka, a B.tech 2nd-year student from Kadiri, Ananthapuram district committed suicide on Monday night.
Nagesh, Priyanka’s father and an auto driver, filed a complaint in Ananthapuram police station and claimed that his daughter committed suicide over ragging and eve-teasing in the college. CI Ramesh, accompanied by the SIvwent to the college and questioned the students and college staff.
Priyanka, according to her friends, was a friendly person. The college staff denied the possibility of ragging second-year students. Priyanka wrote a leave letter to college for Tuesday saying she planned to go to her hometown on Monday night. On the same day, she committed suicide in her house. AISF leaders demanded an investigation and blocked traffic near the college.
