Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police have arrested Chaddi Gang leader in Gujarat and have brought him to city yesterday. Earlier three notorious Chaddi Gang members were arrested on August 1 in Gujarat. The gang are involved in 29 cases of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and recovered 100 grams gold ornaments and 1kg silver and cash 3,000. Four members of Chaddi Gang including its leader Rama Badhiya were absconding. The Rachakonda Police Commissioner assigned the task to Special Operations Team.
This gang had created a panic situation in two states i.e. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Special Operations Team alerted all the sources and utilized the technical information which is already mounted earlier. By using the technical information local police, Dahod police, who acted promptly and helped our team in the apprehension of Chaddi Gang leader (founder) Rama Badhiya. They recovered recovered gold ornaments about 300 grams and silver about 500 grams and one mobile phone as well as Rs. 10 Lakhs from his possession.
The accused was apprehended on August 10 in Dahod, Gujarat and is brought to city. Police commissioner of Rachakonda, Mahesh M Bhagwat said, "We utilized sophisticated technical mechanism. We are very confident in apprehension of other gang members. After the arrest of the Chaddi Gang people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will feel safe.
