
Mysuru: Pavan, a 13-year-old school boy, committed suicide at his home on Tuesday after he was accused of stealing Rs 100 from a classmate.
The deceased is a Class 7 student studying in Sri Bhyraveshwara School in Metagalli police limits. Police said that the boy was alone at home when the incident took place.
It is yet to be clear as various versions have come in as to why the boy committed suicide.

One version says that Pavan stole Rs 100 from his classmate and spent off Rs 30. However, upon realisation his mistake he returned the remaining amount to his classmate. But the school management called on Pavan's father Jayasheelan and intimated about the situation, who in turn reprimanded the boy.
While another has it that Pavan's father accused management of falsely accusing his child, who has lodged a complaint against the school management. Jayasheen said that he himself gave the money to his son.
