Chandrababu telling his partymen to give only those assurances that can actually be implemented can be categorised as the joke of the year. This is a classic case of devil quoting scriptures, commentedYSRCP Rayachoti MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy.

Talking to mediapersons on Wednesday, he said Chandrababu is past master in the art of going back on his electoral promises. He has made several promises in the runup to the 2014 elections and has now gone back on all of them. To escape culpability, Chandrababu is now claiming that these assurances were given when the state was undivided and that the situation has changed after Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were carved out of the undivided state.

"But, this is a patently false claim. While the presidential order on bifurcation has come on March 1, 2014, the TDP's separate manifesto for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were released on March 31 by party top guns Gali MUddu Krishnama Naidu of AP and Ravula Chandrasekhara Reddy of Telangana. Srikanth Reddy further said Chandrababu was a past master in the art of conning the people with false promises and in raking up diabolically dangerous caste conflicts. He said Chandrababu saying that YSRCP was inciting caste conflicts was like devil quoting scriptures.
