Hyderabad School Principal Sexually Abuses Student, Gets Arrested 

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a school principal was arrested for sexually abusing a 14-year-old student of Class IX on Friday here in the city.

K Mahapatra, the 54-year-old school principal of Atomic Energy Central School -II in ECIL, asked the girl to come to his cabin after school hours. He then offered her lassi and snacks. The principal, who was in an inebriated condition, locked the door and tried to kiss the girl. As she raised alarm, he Immediately let her go.

Later, he asked the girl not to disclose the incident to anyone. Although the incident occurred on October 28, the girl told her parents about the sexual abuse only a few days later. Based on a complaint by the parents, the principal was suspended a few days ago.

The victim's parents decided to file a case against the principal. On Friday, a case was registered under Section 354A of the IPC for sexual harassment at the Kushaiguda police and the accused was arrested.
