Case registered against Dhoni in Anantapur

A case has been registered in a local court in Ananthapur district against Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for allegedly posing as Lord Vishnu and hurting religious sentiment.

Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) general secretary, Shyamsundar filed a writ petition in the court alleging that Dhoni was seen on the cover of a business magazine as Lord Vishnu, holding a shoe in his hands.

After hearing the petition, the court directed the police to book a case against Dhoni.
