AP Cop Pleads With Motorist To Wear Helmet; Pic Goes Viral  

Anantapur: The photograph of a police officer pleading with folded hands in front of a motorist riding with four pillion riders has gone viral on Tuesday. Circle Inspector B. Shubh Kumar of Madakasira on his way to work came crossed a motorist K. Hanumantharayudu riding with his wife, two children and another woman sitting on his back and without wearing helmet.

"I just finished a programme of one-and-half hour on road safety awareness and I also saw this man being present. And I was shell-shocked to see this man again violating norms and all I could do was fold my hands with frustration," said Shubh Kumar.

The picture showed Hanumantharayudu on a bike, his two sons sitting on the fuel tank, his wife on the back seat and a relative on the edge of the seat. Despite conducting repeated programmes on road safety awareness people give a damn and this is really bothers me, says Kumar. Interestingly, Hanumantharayudu was warned several time before by Kumar to wear helmet.
