AP Assembly Adjourned Sine Die Amid Heated Debates

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh assembly was adjourned sine die amid heated debates on several issues between the ruling Telugu Desam Party and the opposition YSRCP.

The YSRCP demanded adequate compensation to the families of five people who died in the aqua farm in West Godavari on Thursday. The YSRCP partymen also rushed to the well of the house while some also gheraoed the speakers podium. The TDP, meanwhile, raised the issue of educational qualifications of YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to divert the attention from the West Godavari incident.

The budget session of the state assembly witnessed a total of 57 hours and 56 minutes of business being conducted. The 14 days of the session also saw 21 bills being passed by the assembly. The break-up of the 57 hours and 56 minutes include 42 hours and nine minutes for the ruling TDP, 12 hours by the YSRCP and 3.32 hours for the BJP.
