AP Records 80 New Cases, Tally Reaches 893

HYDERABAD: The number of COVID-19 cases continued to rise in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. 80 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The total number of coronavirus cases in the state touched 893. There are 725 active cases and 141 people have been cured and discharged. 27 have succumbed to the dreaded virus as of now.

According to the bulletin issued from the government, 80 people had tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday. 21 patients had been cured and discharged in the past 24 hours.  This includes 9 patients from Krishna, 7 patients from Chittoor, 5 from Kadapa. 2 patients from Kurnool and 1 from Krishna succumbed to COVID-19 on Thursday. This takes the total number of fatalities in the state to 27.

On Thursday, Kurnool reported 31 cases, Guntur reported 18 cases, 14 cases were recorded in Chittor, 6 from Anantapur, 6 from West Godavari, 2 from Krishna, 2 from Prakasam and 1 from Visakhapatnam.
