PUBG Addict Vizag Teenager Who Attempted Suicide Dies 

Vishakapatnam: The boy who attempted suicide after his mother rebuked him for addiction to online game PUBG, died in Vishakhapatnam on Monday after undergoing 14 days of treatment.

The 14-year-old boy, Boyi Lohith, son of Boyi Venkata Ramana and Triveni, hailed from Korada Village of Vishakapatnam. He was studying in class 10.

Recalling the incident, Lohith was addicted to PUBG (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds) and started neglecting his studies. Even after continuous scolding from his mother, Lohith would not stop playing the game. One day, his mother scolded him and snatched his mobile phone.

Angry and upset over the phone being taken away, Lohith tried to commit suicide by drinking poison. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Sheelanagar. After three days of treatment, he was taken to another hospital in the city for better treatment. As his health condition worsened after 14 days of treatment, the boy was taken to KGH Hospital.
