New Delhi: The Centre is willing to set up greenfield refinery and petrochemical complex in Andhra Pradesh, however, the State government should obtain water at subsidised rate, power, and other incentives along with Rs 5 crore Viability Gap Funding (VGF) for the purpose, said Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

He was responding to a query raised by YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

The Union Minister said that the Centre had already prepared a detailed project report in 2017 to set up petrochemical complex in AP to produce 1.7 million tonnes energy. The total cost of the project is Rs 32,901 crore, he added.
