
Amaravati: Underscoring that Polavaram project remains top of his governance agenda, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy decided to set up a permanent grievance cell for Polavaram to redress the issues pertaining to those affected by the project.
During the second day of Collectors' conference here on Tuesday, he said an IAS officer would be allocated for the purpose and victims' grievances should be resolved at the earliest. He promised all financial support to Polavaram project to ensure that the project is completed in time.
The Chief Minister also drew the attention of officials to rampant aqua culture in West Godavari which he said was contaminating the water bodies in their vicinities. He specifically ordered the Panchayati Raj department officials to look into the issue to ensure that people don't suffer due to lack of clean drinking water.
