Speaking at a media conference held on Thursday, he said that were eliminating the duplicate and double entry voters in the voter list. The CEO warned those accused of tampering that suo moto action would be taken against anyone found to be indulging in deletion of voters’ lists. He added that action had already been initiated against some officials and that all Collectors have been asked to be vigilant in this matter.

Due to the discrepancies observed in the voter list, the political parties have filed complaints and in this regard, three inspection teams have been formed.

So far, the authorities have already held checks in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Vijayawada.

He said that while the MLC voter list is prepared, the election code won't be applicable for the MLA quota elections and the election code would be partially applicable for the Graduate and Teacher Council elections.
