Amaravati: Minister for municipal administration and urban development, Botsa Satyanarayana attacked the Telugu Desam Party for indulging in insider trading at the time of selecting the new capital city for the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh. He said that Amaravati was a hotbed of TDP corruption and Chandrababu's scams, he said.

Speaking to the media at the Secretariat on Monday, Botsa said that the government had complete information with respect to insider trading on Amaravati and that facts would be revealed at the appropriate time. A former union minister and current MP has been claiming that he has no land holdings in Amaravati but if challenged, the entire matter would be revealed, he said taking a dig at Sujana Chowdary.

It may be pertinent to point out that Sujana Chowdary, who was elected from the Rajya Sabha from the TDP and was a union minister till Chandrababu called off the alliance with the ruling party, has now crossed over to the BJP.

Botsa reminded the media that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had promised the release of amounts to tenant farmers in the capital region.
