TDP leader Yerapathineni Srinivasa Rao Booked For Illegal Mining

Guntur: A case has been filed against TDP leader Yerapathineni Srinivasa Rao and 12 others in connection with illegal mining. Local police slapped the case against the offenders based on the directives from the court. Mining assistant director Jagannadh Rao, RDO Murali, and CI Hanumantha Rao were also named in the case.

The illegal mining in the region came to light when one Guruvachary moved the court to expose the misdeeds of the TDP leaders. This angered the TDP leaders and Guruvachary were badly beaten. Despite Guruvachary lodging a complaint, no case was registered earlier by the police. He had no option, but to move the High Court.
