Undavalli: CRDA Chairman and Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy (RK) questioned as to why Lingamaneni Ramesh was not responding to the notice issued against his illegal guesthouse built on the embankment of River Krishna on Sunday.

He lambasted the TDP leaders and the Yellow Media for creating a ruckus against the notices issued to Lingamaneni Estates. He asked as to why they were creating an unnecessary fuss, as if the CRDA had issued notices to Chandrababu, whereas the notice was issued to Lingamaneni Ramesh.

Farmers who had given land for the construction of the roads leading to the residence of former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu met the Mangalagiri MLA seeking justice. Two farmers Seshagiri Rao and Dasari Sambasivarao were forcibly made to give up their land for the construction of the roads. They were made to sign a contract in 2015 to this effect, but after the defeat of the TDP in the elections recently, they were demanding that their lands be handed back to them. Based on their petition the RK inspected the said lands along with the farmers on Sunday.

Speaking to the media after inspecting the land, he questioned as to why Lingamaneni was not responding to the notices issued over the illegal construction, he built on the river embankment. He criticised Chandrababu's government for intimidating farmers and grabbing their lands to pave roads for his residence.

He said that the previous government grabbed 20 cents of land instead of taking the 10 feet as told to them. Not only did they grab their lands, but the TDP government failed to compensate them, he said. RK questioned Chandrababu as to who would take responsibility for the damage done to the farmers. He made it clear that his government would support these farmers in getting back their lands.
