YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made his first public appearance after his party YSR Congress registered a landaslide win over the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a mammoth gathering of people in in Tadepally amid chants of CM Jagan and Jagan The Leader, the Andhra Pradesh chief minister designate humbly said that he was grateful to people for their mandate and vowed exemplary governance. He said that this was a historic day for Andhra Pradesh.


He attributed YSRCP's landslide win to the grace of god and blessings of people. "I am fortunate enough to stand here and express my words of gratitude to all those responsible for this victory. This victory is a sign of trust that people have posed in me and increases the responsibility on me," said the people's leader as people hooted and whistled.

"After people's vote for credibility, I just want to tell you that God blesses just one individual out of the 50 million to sit on that CM's chair. Lord has given me the chance. I will show what is good governance. Within six months, I'll prove myself to be a good chief minister and attempt to give exemplary governance," said the YSRCP chief to a roaring crowd.

Seen alongside him were Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Vijayasai Reddy and YV Subba Reddy. Addressing the English media, YS Jagan said that the mandate that AP people had given was a resounding victory. "Probably this kind of victory was never seen in the state of Andhra Pradesh. First time, the victory comes with a lot of expectations. I promise to work in the interests of Andhra Pradesh and my people. I also like to reiterate that this mandate also comes with tremendous amount of responsibility and I'll make sure to live up to your expectations. people have seen my father in 2004 and then getting re-elected in 2009. With the same kind of responsibility, I'll stand by them and put in every effort to show make history repeat, said the to be chief minister of the Andhra state.
