TDP MLA V Prabhakar Choudary’s Gunmen Involved In Land Grabbing
Anantapur Rural: A case of alleged land grabbing by Telugu Desam Party leader (TDP) and Anantapur Urban MLA Vaikuntham Prabhakar Choudary's gunmen came to light in Indiramma Colony at Anantapur district.
Ramamjinamma and Maabunni were allotted housing plots in Indiramma colony under the Indiramma Housing Scheme in 2007.They both started construction, but were yet to receive amounts despite putting the bills for construction their houses. Due to lack of funds, they halted construction of the houses.
Taking advantage of this the Anantapur Urban MLA's gunmen Hari and Nabirasool forcibly occupied the plots and razed the partially built houses. After which they started building their own houses and when questioned by the victims they asked them to do whatever they wanted as the site belonged to them now. The gunmen told the victims that they had cancelled their allotments and spoke to them in a harsh tone.
The hapless women who were daily wage labourers complained to the Revenue officials. However, there was no response from their side as the land documents were already forged in the gunmen's name.
