Ongole: Jana Sena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan in his inimitable style, said that he would show TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu what politics meant. The question is how,when he himself is Chandrababu’s front, as is widely being believed. Pawan Kalyan, who was in Ongole, was campaigning in Giddalur, Markapuram, Darsi and Ongole constituencies. In all his speeches, the actor-turned -politician tried to create the impression of having a distance from the ruling TDP. This is being seen by observers as a ploy to be avoid being perceived as stooge of Chandrababu Naidu and the ruling TDP.

Addressing a public rally in Ongole, along these lines, he said that in the previous elections he had supported TDP but now he was being attacked by the same party. Because the TDP failed to get Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh, he had decided to contest the elections alone and not support the TDP anymore. Clearly the intention was to distance the JSP from the TDP in public perception because it is increasingly being seen as a party which is playing a second fiddle to the TDP or worse, dancing to its tunes.

Continuing in this vein, if voted to power he promised to complete the Veligonda Project in 18 months and would allocate 1000 Crore for Agriculture sector. Similarly, he promised to improve the productivity of the famous Ongole Bull that was slowly becoming extinct in its home district.

Apart from the plethora of promises, he also said that he would encourage young farmers and would provide 3 lakh jobs in 6 months in the state. Realistically speaking, the JSP founder knows that he is incapable of coming to power and the possibility of sharing power with the TDP remains a distant dream. Under such circumstances Pawan Kalyan's assurances substantiate the point that he is trying to create a smoke screen to fool the public.This style of campaigning by the JSP founder may continue till the last date.

He claimed that since he had spent his childhood here he would develop the district as if it were his own. Pawan also expressed his desire to see the common man entering politics.
