Shiva Prasadm Kodela and Rayapati Sambasiva Rao

Guntur:The TDP in Guntur is on the boil with internal wars surfacing in many constituencies of the district. The TDP is divided between MP candidate Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao. In a recent move to gain an upper hand, Rayapati had made Nallapati Ramu an archrival of Kodela join the party. Meanwhile, he was welcomed into the party by none other that TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu. It is learnt that Kodela was unaware of the news that Nallapati Ramu was joining the party.

In another instance, Kodela rejected Narasaraopet candidate Chadalavada Aravinda Rao, but it was with Rayapati’s influence, this seat was allocated to Aravinda Rao. It is reported that Rayapati threatened not to contest if Chadalavada was denied the ticket. Chandrababu had come down and accepted the condition of Rayapati, who is a senior parliamentarian. However, Kodela’s supporters claimed that the party was offering at least one ticket in the constituency to a BC. With Nallapati Ramu entering into the party Rayapati gets an upper hand in the district. All these developments are making it difficult for the ruling party which is already badly hit by anti-incumbency, exodus of party leaders to YSRCP and widespread dissidence.
