Butta Renuka, SV Mohan Reddy Victims Of Nara Lokesh Deception

Amaravati: In July of 2018, Kurnool MP, MLA Butta Renuka, and SV Mohan Reddy made a huge deal over IT Minister Nara Lokesh visiting the district. A big stage was set for him with the crowds chanting his name with the slogans saying, 'He is their King'.

While Nara Lokesh relished the praises, in the same spirit, he announced Butta Renuka and SV Mohan Reddy as the candidates for the Kurnool MP and MLA seat respectively for the next elections. Nara Lokesh declared that Butta Renuka and SV Mohan Reddy will re-contest the election on TDP ticket.

Nine months later, the election season kicked off but there was no word in regard to their ticket from either Chief Minister and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu or Nara Lokesh.

Despite stating that Nara Lokesh had announced their tickets, Chandrababu didn't provide them with the seats. Both Nara Lokesh and Chandrababu together announced the Kurnool MP ticket to Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy and MLA ticket to TG Venkatesh's son Bharat.

Upon learning the situation, Butta Renuka who quit the YSR Congress party earlier, re-joined the party.

On the other hand, SV Mohan Reddy who quit the YSRCP even after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had given him a ticket five years ago, shared his disappointment by saying that, "Chandrababu has never kept his word which everyone knows. But at least expected Nara Lokesh to stay true to his words."
