Chandrababu Under Pressure From Balayya

Visakhapatnam: The Telugu Desam Party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu who is in the process of appeasing and allotting tickets to his party members for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections has another aspirant to tackle at the home front.

His brother-in-law Balakrishna is already in the fray for the Hindupur seat. Latest news is that his son Lokesh is getting ready to fight it out at Mangalagiri. Now why was Mangalagiri given to Lokesh was the result of a sequence of events that took place recently.

Balakrishna's second son-in law SriBharath who is also keen to contest the Lok Sabha Elections this time had expressed his desire to contest from Visakapatnam . SriBharath is the grandson of the Gitam Institutions founder late MVVS Murthy who was also an MLC.

Chandrababu had already promised Bheemili for Lokesh and asked Sri Bharath to wait as Ganta Srinivasa Rao was already in the fray. It is reported that SriBharath insisted on contesting and sent his father -in law Balakrishna to intervene on his behalf.

After a lot of discussions and deliberations he asked Sribharath to contest for the MLC post which was vacant after his grandfather's death. SriBharath was adamant that he would fight for Lok Sabha ticket and Chandrababu wanted him to contest for the Rajamundry ticket as Murali Mohan was not contesting this time.

SriBharath was clear that he wanted to contest from his home turf Visakhapatnam , but since Visakhapatnam, Visakhapatnam East, Visakhapatnam West belonged to a particular caste segment and they shouldn't meddle with the dynamics there.

With SriBharath was still adamant and with mounting pressure from Balakrishna to accommodate his son-in-law, Lokesh was given Mangalagiri and SriBharath was given Visakhapatnam.

TDP HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao, who won from the Bheemli Assembly constituency in 2014, was asked to contest from the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha and might just have to make way for SriBharath.
