Data Theft: How The TDP Planned To Remove Voter Names Via Sevamitra, It Grids

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar told reporters that "a key person from Andhra Pradesh” had played a role in removing the names of those likely to vote against the TDP with the help of IT Grids India Limited director Ashok Dakavaram.

The Commissioner in a press conference held on Wednesday explained that through Seva Mitra app, the TDP had harvested data of TS government scheme beneficiaries illegally.

•The IT Grids Organization, which developed the Sevamitra App, has captured the personal data of AP people in various ways.

•Based on this, callers and field surveyors created questionnaire and collected voters' opinions.

•They collated the data and uploaded the information on the Sevamitra admin site.

•This data was systematically organized under different categories by IT Grids.

•This data would be sent to the booth level Sevamitra convenors in different constituencies.

•Based on this, the booth level convenors conducted surveys and collected details like Aadhaar, mobile numbers, caste and political preferences at the field level.

•The data collected would then be sent back to the IT Grids Company at Hyderabad.

•IT Grids would then analyse this data and segregate the anti-TDP voters who are not in those areas.

•The complied data after a comprehensive analysis would then be sent to the Telugu Desam Party 'key' person .There was also a code word given as "TDP Key-Person".

•The Key person would figure out the non-TDP supporters from the list.

•A Form-7 would be filled illegally in their name and sent to the respective electoral officers requesting for removal of voters' names.

The police suspect that people who are not pro TDP at the time of the survey would be deleted from the electoral rolls.

Those who were not available at the time of survey whom they believed would not vote for the TDP and might vote for other parties were also deleted from the electoral rolls.
