NIA Team To Inspect Vizag Airport VIP Lounge In YS Jagan Attack Probe

Hyderabad: After taking up the case on the attack on Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has intensified the probe. A team of NIA officers spearheaded by NIA DIG Praveen Kumar has arrived in Visakhapatnam on Monday. It may be recalled that the YSRCP Chief survived a murder attempt after being stabbed with a sharp knife inside the VIP lounge of Vizag airport.

Praveen Kumar's NIA team had interacted with the local police to extract details in the case. Later, the team is expected to visit and inspect the 'Scene of Offence' at the airport. In this context, the accused in the case, Janepalli Srinivasa Rao, a restaurant worker at the airport, would be probed by the NIA.
