Chandrababu’s Decision To Appoint Anil Chandra As AP CS Raises Storm
Amaravati: The appointment of Andhra Pradesh's new Chief Secretary Anil Chandra turned out to be a fresh controversy as several IAS officers across the State expressed dissatisfaction over Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's decision to ignore senior-most officers in favour of the newly appointed CS. Among the current crop of IAS officers serving in the State, 1983 batch IAS officer LV Subramaniam is the senior-most officer while the newly appointed CS Anil Chandra is a 1984 batch officer.
The fraternity of IAS officers is extremely disappointed also because LV Subramaniam was not considered for the post on one such occasion previously. The new Chief Secretary will serve the government until May 31, 2019. Anil Chandra took over the responsibilities from former AP CS Dinesh Kumar.
