Amaravati: Rajya Sabha member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) GVL Narasimha Rao today said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was not invited for any program conducted by the United Nations Organizations. Saying that there was no such session scheduled to be held by the UN as being promoted by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders, the MP revealed that Chandrababu was visiting New York to attend a meeting jointly organised by a non-profit foundation called World Economic Forum and Bloomberg private organization. No UN organization or a government agency is involved in the meeting, he added.

GVL demanded that the TDP leaders show in public the invitation to the UN meeting. Why do the TDP leaders always try to mislead people on issues? he asked. The WEF is holding a small event on the sidelines of the UN meeting, but the TDP leaders are trting to paint it as if the UN invited Chandrababu, the BJP leader said.

In a request to the media personnel, he asked them to verify facts before airing and publishing news.
