Tadipatri: TDP was in for a major shock this morning when two senior party leaders quit the party. Senior leaders Bommireddi Jagadeeshwar Reddy and his brother, 23rd Ward Counselor Jayachandra Reddy (popularly known as Jaggi brothers) have quit TDP today. Both leaders felt that the top leaders of their party had insulted them and never gave a proper hearing to them.

Earlier, a month ago, the TDP leadership had issued a show-cause notice to Jaggi brothers stating that they were indulging in anti-party activities. Jaggi brothers gave an explanation to the notice on June 20. Meanwhile rumors started doing the rounds that unhappy with their reply, the leadership had suspended them. Insulted by this talk, Jaggi brothers bid goodbye to TDP.

After quitting the party, the Jaggi brothers spoke to media and said that their life was under threat due to TDP leaders JC Diwakar Reddy and JC Prabhakar Reddy. They also said that they were ready to prove their allegations against JC brothers. "Atrocities were ruling the roost in Tadipatri. JC brothers had siphoned off Rs 200 crores and we can prove it. The government officials were also not bothered about this. There is threat to our life from these two leaders," they told the media in Tadipatri.

Jaggi brothers had sent written requests for protection from JC family to Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and on earlier occasion even to late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy. They said that JC brothers and their sons were responsible should anything untoward happen to them. They also mentioned that from today they would work against JC brothers and defeat them in the next elections.
