
The First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court of Machilipatnam on Monday took cognizance of the complaint filed by Brahmin Yuvajana Sangham against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao in connection with derogatory comments against Brahmins hailing from Andhra region, and issued summons to appear before it on July 21.
In the complaint, it was mentioned that KCR said that Seemandhra Brahmins were more interested in public display and rituals.
The petitioner also mentioned that his comments have hurt the feelings of lakhs of Brahmins in Andhra region.
