Opposing the division of the state, Anakapalli Congress MP Sabbam Hari resigned from the membership of Lok Sabha on Saturday.
He faxed his resignation letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar. Addressing a press conference, Sabbam said that division of state was painful in this democratic country. He demanded to know who gave them the right to dividie the state.
He charged Sonia Gandhi for being a dictator. He also said that Congress can accept his resignation anytime.
He called upon all the resigned Seemandhra MPs and MLAs to participate in the Samikayndhra movement.
Congress has joined hands with BJP on the Telangana issue, he said. Stating that Congress is objecting to BJP projecting Narendra Modi as PM candidate, but when it came to Telangana issue it has no principles.
