Police personnel in large numbers have been deployed in the area to defuse tension, police said adding there was a dispute between two communities in the area over erecting thatched roof for a temple festival and over an eve teasing incident involving a girl of another community.

On hearing a loud noise, people in the vicinity gathered around the temple and demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits.
