CM Revanth Reddy Narrowly Escapes Lift Accident at Novotel Hotel

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy narrowly escaped an accident at Novotel Hotel in Hyderabad on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The CM was in a lift when it suddenly malfunctioned, causing a brief moment of panic among his staff and security personnel.
The incident occurred when the lift, which was designed to hold only 8 people, had 13 passengers, including CM Revanth. The excessive weight caused the lift to malfunction, sinking lower than expected. The alarm was triggered, leaving everyone inside confused and tense for a short while.
Hotel staff and security officers immediately responded, opening the lift doors and safely helping everyone out. CM Revanth and his team were unharmed. After the incident, the CM was quickly escorted to the second floor in another lift without further issues.
The CM had arrived at the Novotel Hotel for a Congress Legislative Party (CLP) meeting, where Telangana government whips and MLAs had invited him. The prompt response from hotel staff and security ensured the safety of all involved.
Although the accident caused initial confusion, it ended without any injuries. Authorities have since assured that the hotel’s safety measures will be reviewed to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
