The silver screen debut of Akira Nandan—son of Power Star and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and actress Renu Desai—has long been the talk of the town. With Akira making frequent public appearances alongside his father, curiosity around his entry into films has only intensified.

In recent weeks, speculation has been rife on social media. Some claimed Akira would make a special cameo in Pawan Kalyan’s much-anticipated film OG, while others suggested that Ram Charan was personally mentoring Akira for his acting debut.

However, putting all rumours to rest, Renu Desai clarified the buzz in a recent podcast interview.

“Akira is not acting in OG, nor is he being trained by Ram Charan,” she stated.
“In fact, I had once shared a few such rumours with Akira, and he asked me not to forward such news to him.”

Renu Desai Opens Up About Personal Life and Comeback

In the same conversation, Renu Desai delved into her personal journey, touching upon topics like marriage, politics, and her emotional return to Tollywood. She revealed that although she had considered remarriage, she ultimately stepped back, prioritising her children—Akira and Aadhya.

She also shared that multiple political parties had approached her with offers to join politics, but she declined them all to focus on her responsibilities as a mother.

“I find peace in helping people and animals through my NGO. That’s where my heart lies,” she said.

Renu described her Tollywood comeback with Tiger Nageswara Rao as a deeply nostalgic moment.

“I knew I would cry the moment the director said ‘action’. That’s why I took Akira with me to the set—for moral support,” she added with a smile.

As fans continue to wait for Akira’s much-anticipated acting debut, it’s clear that the young star is taking his time—and staying grounded, thanks to the strong guidance of his mother.
