7-year-old raped after being lured with chocolates in Rajahmundry

A 45-year-old man allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl in East Godavari district.

According to reports, the accused Gidugu Raju, a resident of Nagaram village of Mamidikuduru mandal, lured the girl on pretext of giving chocolates and raped her.
The parents of the child are daily wagers and the girl is studying in Standard II in a private school in the same village.
Gidugu Raju, living in the neighborhood of the school, allegedly raped the girl for over a week by enticing her with chocolates.
Parents who came to know about their daughter's ordeal approached the police and lodged a complaint.
The accused was beaten black and blue by the people before the police took him into their custody.
