6 Held For Possessing Liquor Bottles, Gutka Packets Atop Tirumala

Tirumala: Six persons were arrested on Saturday in the temple town of Tirumala for possessing liquor bottles and gutka packets. Excise officials conducted raids in the early hours on Friday on labourers and hotel workers and found them possessing the banned stuff at Tirumala.
The seizures show that despite stringent measures, liquor and contraband are finding their way to the holy city.
