3 TDP leaders kidnapped

The banned Maoists kidnapped three TDP leaders in the agency areas of Visakhapatnam district.
According to sources, the armed Maoists kidnapped district executive committee member Muktala Mahesh, Janmabhoomi committee mandal president Vandanam Balaiah and GK veedhi district TDP president M Balaiah from Kothaguda in GK Veedhi.
The kidnaps came closely on the heels of the Maoist threats opposing the bauxite mining in the agency areas. The Maoists called for a week-long bandh of Andhra Odisha Border (AOB area) from October 7 to 13.
