One Killed As Van Runs Over Pedestrians In Hyderabad Suburb

Hyderabad: A woman was killed while four others were injured when a van ran over morning walkers here on Saturday, police said.

The incident occurred at Moosapet, a city suburb, when the speeding van while overtaking other vehicles hit the walkers on footpath. While one Jyothi(45) died on the spot, four others __ Rama, Usha, Pushpa and Kishore Reddy __ were rushed to a private hospital with grievous injuries. Two of them are said to be in a critical condition.

The CCTV footage shows the van trying to overtake other vehicles from the left side, hitting a group of walkers. The driver fled the accident scene.

Police registered a case and are investigating.
