Nalgonda: Telangana MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy expressed concern over the injustice done to the people of the region over the past few decades. Speaking to media in a press conference here today, the TRS MP said that barring Hyderabad and Warangal, the rest of the state was still economically backward. "With a view to taking the issue to the Centre, I had penned down a comprehensive note in my letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, back in 2015," he added.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader pleaded with the Centre to declare at least one project in Telangana as a national project. If the Centre were to give the Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh, which is rich in all kinds of resources, then the backward state of Telangana should also be accorded the same, the Nalgonda MP demanded.

"What were the Congress MPs from Telangana doing when the Congress Working Committee promised to accord SCS to AP, during the No Confidence Motion debate?" he questioned. The Congress leaders should reveal the reasons why the MPs could not demand Telangana's bifurcation promises, he asserted. The TRS leader suggested that the Congress leaders demand the state's rights and ensure no injustice is done.
